Striking the balance between darky and light, ugly and beauty, Teppei has been working as an illustrator and gallery artist since 2007 working primarily from Oakland, CA. After meeting Sonny Smith (of Sonny and the Sunsets) began creating animated music videoss for his group and then for Social Studies, The Sam Chase and Night Auditor which been well reviewed on NPR, SPIN, VICE, JUXTAPOZ, STEROGUM, SF WEEKLY and many more. After screening his animated short films CORPUS DELICTI and DEADLY GARDEN in local film festivals such as

SF IndieFest and Oakland Underground Film Festival, Teppei was asked to contribute animated sigments for the feature film, RUMINATIONS directed by Robert James about the life of Cockettes founding member, Rumi Missabu. The film won several awards as it screened in film festivals such as, Cinema Diverse, Raindance Film Festival, and NY Alt Fest.. 

Teppei is continues to work on documenties and is currently working a graphic novel.
